First signs of labor

Our Havanese matriarch "Lady" has been more clingy the last couple days, and her temperature dropped into the magic range. So I made her a 32"X36" whelping box today. About an hour ago she started acting more restless, panting, and has started nesting behavior (digging blankets into a pile). She is now cuddled up (but keeps adjusting her position) in the whelping box. We placed the bed we got for her when she was less than a year old in the whelping box as a comfort for her. It may be a long night in the Luce house, but we should have 6 puppies in the morning. 🙂
