This photo says it all…
We selected the Havanese breed because we are a family with allergies and we wanted a small dog that was hypo-allergenic, and was great with kids. The Havanese was the only breed that met our criteria.
We have not regretted our selection for a moment.
If you are considering the Havanese, and have questions, feel free to get in touch. We have puppies that will be available in may/june.

Depending on their development, the earliest they will go to their new homes is 8 weeks. But we may allow up to 12 weeks. So that makes them available sometime in May or June. We will be keeping one of them to join our pack.
All 5 are doing quite well.
In honor of our Children’s affinity for the Toy Story movies, we have temporarily dubbed them using names from characters in the film.
We have named them Jesse, Buzz Light Year, Bullseye, Woody.

We have five new Havanese puppies in our home thanks to our Silver Havanese bitch “Lady”. Our daughter woke up in the middle of the night when we were whelping, so she got to be a part of the experience. This is her reaction to holding them shortly after they were born.
Our Havanese matriarch “Lady” has been more clingy the last couple days, and her temperature dropped into the magic range. So I made her a 32″X36″ whelping box today. About an hour ago she started acting more restless, panting, and has started nesting behavior (digging blankets into a pile).
She is now cuddled up (but keeps adjusting her position) in the whelping box.
We placed the bed we got for her when she was less than a year old in the whelping box as a comfort for her.
It may be a long night in the Luce house, but we should have 6 puppies in the morning.
Our matriarch “Lady” (Above as a puppy and 1 yr old, and below on the right) whelped 5 healthy puppies on April 9th, 2011.
She is now almost 3 and has passed all of her health screenings. She comes from an International champion, and ancestry out of Europe and we bred her with an AKC champion out of Florida.
So if you are looking for Havanese puppies in 2011, we are happy to help.

We welcome “Chocco” our new Havanese Puppy. From an AKC champion line, he is a fine specimen of the breed. Presuming he passes his health screening, he will ultimately become a mate for “Lady”.
He’s really smart, even as young as he is. He catches on quick. Lady has been a little resistant to accept him into the pack, but she is starting to seek him out now for playtime. Our children LOVE him.
First of all, if you ever watched “101 Dalmations” when you were a kid, you probably remember the helpful English Sheepdog (ES). Well to be honest I find the Havanese breed, even Havanese Puppies, look a lot like the ES, only smaller.
1. Havanese Puppies/Havanese Dogs are extremely cute
2. Havanese are sturdy little dogs
3. The Havanese breed is not prone to illness
4. They are generally great with children
5. Havanese Puppies/Dogs are hypo-allergenic.
6. They are intelligent
The Havanese breed was perfect for us with our 3 children all 5 & under at the time we acquired our Havanese.
